Chalk Paint® is Annie Sloan’s quick and easy way to get colorful. You can use it to paint furniture, floors, walls – even to dye fabric. You can paint it thickly for a textured finish or dilute it for a smooth finish – add even more water for a washed wood look or to create a stain.

Annie Sloan’s brand of paint is different. It is not simply paint with chalk added to it. It is not chalkboard paint. It is not made by adding Plaster of Paris or grout or even baking soda to an existing paint. Chalk Paint® is the unique decorative paint Annie Sloan developed for furniture, floors and walls, drawing on a lifetime of research and experience in working with paint and color. Chalk Paint® adheres to most surfaces. It’s the simple way to get creative!

And the fact that there is a PERSON behind this paint, not just a business trying to capitalize on someone else’s idea, makes a world of difference. Don’t be surprised to see Annie herself comment or respond to questions online. She truly cares about your success with her products that much.

Annie Sloan Colors

Annie Sloan has chosen her palette of colors carefully. They range from soft, pale hues to bright, vivid tones reminiscent of historic European décor as well as strong 20th Century colors. The colors have been expertly chosen to meet every taste. They are rich and strong so they may be lightened, mixed together, dulled with Dark Wax or used as washes without losing their intensity and depth. And you can add beautiful patinas to your surfaces with Chalk Paint® Wax – available in Clear, White, Dark and Black.
